What this site saves.
The directory works without an account. Some optional tools save information to provide their function.
Your shelf and browser storage
The shelf stores your selections in your browser’s local storage. Browser storage is device- and browser-specific; clearing site data can remove it. It is not an account-backed cloud save.
Ratings
To replace a repeat vote instead of counting it twice, the rating endpoint creates a salted hash from the request’s IP address and game slug. The rating record contains the stars and timestamp; it does not store the raw IP address. Hosting infrastructure can process request metadata separately in operational logs.
Submissions and developer claims
Submitted text, optional contact details, a timestamp, and a shortened browser user-agent are stored privately using Vercel Blob. Only include information needed to review the request. Do not submit passwords, private keys, or personal information about someone else.
Shared tier lists
Saving a tier list creates a shareable page containing its title, selected game slugs, and timestamp. Anyone with the link can view it. Do not put private information in the title.
Site analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics for page views and a small set of actions such as opening an official game link, opening a feed, or downloading a research file. Custom events contain a game slug or page path, not form contents or email addresses. Automated browsers are excluded where identifiable. Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation describes its processing.
Embedded and external games
Playing an embedded game loads the developer’s site. Opening an external link takes you to another service. Those games, stores, and hosts have their own storage, analytics, and privacy practices; our policy does not control them.
There is currently no email subscription form. You can follow the weekly RSS feed without sharing an email address. Any future email service will be disclosed here before signup is enabled.
Questions, corrections, and deletion requests
Use the contact and correction form, identify the record or shared page involved, and provide enough information to establish that the request is yours. The site is maintained by Maxwell Prehoda.
